1,177 BOI projects cancelled from 1978-2006

A 34% or 1,177 out of 3,452 investment projects signed by the Board of Investment (BOI), from its inception in 1978 up to the end of 2006 had been cancelled incurring a huge loss of Rs. 1.18 billion to the country, the Auditor General observed in his latest report on the BOI.
