The decision to dissolve the board of Directors at the Sri
Jayawardenapura Hospital was a timely one, the Government Medical
Officers Association (GMOA) stated.
Deputy Secretary of the GMOA, Sankalpa Marasinghe stated that there had been several issues between the board of directors and the specialist doctors at the Hospital while the GMOA had taken measures to inform the Health Minister about the situation.
He further added that the GMOA will cautiously look at the new board of directors said to be appointed some time next week.
